Specialist Shoulder & Knee Surgeon
A product of New Delhi, Dr Amit Nath Misra graduated from India's prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College in 1991. He started his Orthopaedic training the following year at the country's Central Institute of Orthopaedics at Safdarjang Hospital, New Delhi. His research at this primary stage of training involved arthroscopic knee surgery. He then spent the next 8 years further training in the U.K. followed by an year of Subspecialty Fellowships in Perth, Western Australia involving Shoulder & Knee Surgery. He pursued the prestigious AO Trauma Fellowship (Davos, Switzerland) and further Fellowship training in Knee Replacement Surgery at The Royal Bournemouth Hospital, U.K.

He has several International Publications in reputed journals (such as The Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery, The Knee, Injury, etc) on various aspects of Shoulder & Knee problems including Joint Replacements & Arthroscopies.

He has presented several papers at important International Conferences - at the SICOT World Congress, California, EFFORT Congress Lisbon & Helsinki and the BOA meetings at Birmingham & Manchester to name a few.

In India, he has been invited as Faculty at several Shoulder & Knee Workshops, has lectured at several meets and written chapters and articles in important textbooks and journals.

In the interest of the public, he has held several Patient Education Sessions and Awareness Camps.

Recognising the paucity of skills and the economic background of many, Dr Misra is involved in significant charity work. No patient is denied his skills on economic grounds. Everyone is helped according to their respective circumstances.
